2025 Zona Cup Finals Qualification Rules
Teams meeting the qualification rules will be eligible to compete in the 2025 Zona Cup Finals Tournament.
- Zona Cup (Finals) Qualification Rules and Explanations
- Teams qualify to participate in the Zona Cup event (formerly IHAAZ State Finals) by participating in any 1 of 4 qualifier weekends. Teams are encouraged to participate in as many events as they are able.
- Teams who have qualified for the Zona Cup Finals may only add new players to their roster by qualifying at another event to add that player.
- Individual players are only required to play in one event with their team to be eligible to participate with that team for Zona Cup Finals.
- Only players who participated in (or were in attendance for) 50% of their team's games at a qualifier event, will be added to that team's Zona Cup Finals roster. No exceptions unless for injury.
- Teams participating in multiple qualifier events are qualifying all players on their various rosters to compete with them at the Zona Cup Finals.
- A player who is only playing up in an older age group would only qualify to play in the divisions they have participated in. As an example; player A is 12U age eligible, but has only been playing in the 14U division for the Zona Cup qualifier events. That player is qualified to play in the 14U age group, but must participate with a 12U team to qualify for that age group as well.
